Moore News (April 2025)

Hey everybody, Andy here!

I just wanted to give you a quick update on what’s going on with Cornerstone, the Moore household, and a little update on finances.

As many of you saw from a video I posted about a month ago, I went on a spring break trip to Wilmington, North Carolina with Habitat for Humanity. This was actually my fourth time going to Wilmington, and once again, we helped build low-income housing from the foundation up. It was a wonderful trip. We had about 20 students with us, and we had an absolute blast. There are honestly so many great stories I could share, but I’ll spare you a long video.

Actually, just yesterday, those 20 students came over to my place for an Easter meal. Since becoming the Habitat adviser, it's become a tradition for me to host an Easter meal for the students each year. This time, we went non-traditional and had a pasta bar! It was such a fun time of fellowship, great food, and community.

That said, this season is a bit bittersweet. I want to share some news with you: I'm stepping down as the adviser for Habitat for Humanity. It’s a role I’ve held for nearly 10 years, and it has meant so much to me. But with my upcoming ordination, I’ve felt the need to step away. It wasn’t an easy decision at all, because I love those students and the work deeply, but I do feel it’s time to move on.

The good news is that my coworker, Boaz Moser, will be taking over the adviser role. He’ll do a great job, and I’m excited to see where he takes the program.

Speaking of ordination, I’m happy to share that I’ve passed my written exams (praise the Lord!), and I’m now preparing for my oral exams. If all goes well, I hope to be officially ordained in late May or early June. Please keep me in your prayers for that!

As for the Moore household, things are mostly the same. Ben is getting ready to graduate in just a couple of months - hard to believe! - and then he’ll be heading to Pitt. Josh is starting to look at colleges this summer. He hasn’t made a final decision yet, but I’ll keep you posted once he does.

Now, a quick word on finances. Last month (March) wasn’t a strong month for giving - I was about $1,000 short. Thankfully, because of your past generosity, my ministry account is in a good place and there's no need to worry. But I did want to be transparent and make you aware.

If you're able and feel led to give - whether it’s a one-time donation or a monthly gift - every bit helps and is deeply appreciated. You can find the giving links below or in my bio.

Thank you so much for supporting me, for praying for me, and for praying for students to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Please keep my family and the students in your prayers, especially over the summer.

Thank you all so much, and God bless you!
