Andy: Hey everybody, Andy here, and I'm here with Nick, one of our student leaders. So Nick, why don't you tell everybody about yourself?
Nick: I'm a sophomore mechanical engineer, and I'm going to Cornerstone. This will be my second year, and I'm part of the Wednesday night team. We help plan and run our Wednesday night large groups at Cornerstone.
Andy: Yes, which is a lot of work actually. So Nick, how did you find out about Cornerstone?
Nick: When I first started at Pitt, I started coming to Bellefield for Sunday services. The first time I was in attendance, Andy introduced himself to me and said, “You should come check out Cornerstone.” I thought, “Well, I need to see if I have enough time to squeeze all this in.” But with a little more persuasion, I showed up. I've been going ever since because it was a blast.
Andy: Okay, awesome. And we're glad you came. So what would you say Cornerstone has meant to you?
Nick: It's really the thing I look forward to most each week. It's a way I can take a break from all the noise in my busy life. It allows me to refocus on God and my faith. A lot of that is through the strong community at Cornerstone. From day one, I felt very welcomed by all the upperclassmen. They really took me in. I feel like God has used those connections with people at Cornerstone to open me up and allow me to have deep conversations. I feel like that's strengthened my faith a lot.
Andy: That's awesome. And lastly, is there anything you’d like to say to my supporters and friends right now?
Nick: I really just thank Andy for leading me in the direction of Cornerstone. It's opened up a lot of things for me. I've started getting involved in freshman Bible study and discipleship groups because he initially got me introduced to Cornerstone. So thank you for opening that door.
